What is inside

Six parts, twenty-four chapters, one method

It starts with what a kundli records, teaches each piece on its own, then reads one chart end to end.

  1. I

    Orientation

What a kundli records, how the sidereal sky is drawn, and how to get your own chart.

  2. II

    The Alphabet

The nine grahas, twelve rashis, twelve bhavas and the lagna, each explained on its own.

  3. III

    The Grammar

The reading sentence, aspects, conjunctions and planetary condition.

  4. IV

    The Houses

Six chapters, two houses each, ending with the pair read as one axis.

  5. V

    Putting It Together

One chart read end to end, reading for someone else, and a thirty-day practice.

  6. VI

    Beyond the Basics

Nakshatras, dashas, yogas and doshas, and divisional charts, with honest limits.

Reference: glossary, index of terms, where to go next, and about the book.

Why this book

It teaches the method, not the verdict

Most astrology content gives you conclusions. This book gives you the steps. It teaches what each part of the chart means on its own, then shows how to combine them into a sentence about a real chart, slowly enough to follow with your own.

It is a workbook as much as a book. Every chapter ends with something to look up in your chart and write down, and Part Five gives you a thirty-day practice with a chart log to keep you honest.

It also says what it does not do. Shadbala and named yogas are outside its scope, and it says so rather than inventing a result. What is covered is shown on a chart, not asserted.
